Welcome to Thursday Snippets

This weekend we have Race 3 of our Autumn Series. As the cool of winter sets in we are seeing sailors from the bay come back to the lake. The Optimists have returned and the Minnows are returning as well. As always it is the warm and friendly atmosphere of the Albert Sailing Club that brings these winter members back each year.

Last week was a busy week for the club. In the morning we had our working bee. A lot of cleaning of the club was done, as well as work on the club boats. A big thanks to all of those who helped out at the working bee.

In the evening the club had its annual general meeting. The main activity of the AGM is to elect a new committee. The 2009/10 committee consists of:

I would like to thank all of our committee members for stepping forward to help the club. I would also like to thank all of those who have helped out on the previous committee.

This committee still has a couple of positions which haven't been filled. If you are interested in being on the committee please let me know. As well as the committee the club relies on the help of volunteers to provide and maintain our services. I would like to thank everyone in advance who helps out the club and its committee.
