Discover Sailing Public Open Day at Albert Sailing Club
Sunday 23rd October from 10am to 3pm.
For anyone interested in dinghy class sailing in a safe and scenic location.
People of all ages and levels of sailing experience are invited to come and try sailing a dinghy class sailboat with experienced club members on Melbourne's safest and most convenient waterway. Members will also be on hand to provide information about forthcoming Learn to Sail programs, the club, and its programs and activities.
Adults and families will be taken out in larger boats for 2 - 4 people. If they wish, juniors can try sailing in a small single handed junior boat. Arrive 10 - 10.30 for boat allocation and some Instruction for juniors. There are also options to sail our Zest or Laser boats for juniors with sailing experience depending on weather conditions.
Boats, lifejackets amd all equipment will be provided. Wear old sneaker type shoes and, if a windy day, bring a change of clothes.
Relax on the club decking or the lawn with fine views of Albert Park Lake and Melbourne. Tours of the clubrooms and facilities and information on Albert Sailing Club will also be available on the day.
Free BBQ from 11.30 a.m. - 1.30 p.m. or BYO food.

Access to ASC : By car best access is via Steel Gates entrance to Albert Park Reserve on corner Clarendon Street and Albert Road, South Melbourne. Car parking at rear of clubrooms for $5.60 all or part day on weekends.
Come by tram via route 12 tram from City to Clarendon Street/Albert Road or a St Kilda Road tram to Domain interchange stop. For the more energetic ride in by bike or walk to the club.
